Our Goals
- Conduct, sponsor and otherwise facilitate specialized educational programs and cultural exchanges for individuals, schools and businesses
- Maintain, expand and exhibit cultural artifacts
- Maintain, expand and make available a library of information about the Asian region
- Facilitate dialogue and cooperation among local groups, which share our goals
- Ensure long-term viability of Crane House and the achievement of our mission through appropriate fund-raising.

INSTRUCTORS OF CHINESE FOR SUMMER 2008
Crane House, in collaboration with University of Louisville and Jefferson County Public Schools, is seeking applicants for 4 positions in teaching Chinese for StarTalk, a federally funded, intensive program from July 7- July 25, 2008, in Louisville , KY.
Successful candidates must have native or near- native fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English. Other qualifications include teaching experience in an English-speaking environment, strong background in Chinese culture, familiarity with Chinese language, pedagogy, strong interpersonal skills, and comfort in working with high school students and their parents. Experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is preferred. Experience in computer-assisted instruction and/or instructional technology is desirable. Crane House is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated instructors to create a strong, fun language learning environment.
Successful candidates are required to attend a pre-program teacher training workshop provided by Crane House in May 2008.
