Welcome to the Kentucky Asian Studies Network! This webpage was developed as a resource for Kentuckians across the Commonwealth to learn about the programs, faculty, and resources available at colleges and universities in Kentucky. Together with Asia Institute – Crane House, a group of community-minded faculty came together in 2011 to talk about how to provide more information for each other, for our students, and for interested members of the public. We are deeply committed to teaching and learning about Asia in Kentucky, and to that end hope you’ll use this webpage to:
  • LEARN about upcoming events in our calendar. Here, you’ll be able to see what kinds of lectures, conferences, and public programs are available in the upcoming weeks.
  • EXPLORE opportunities to learn about Asia at Kentucky’s colleges and universities, whether to find out what faculty teach, what degree programs are offered, what summer and study abroad options are available, and what resources are available at each institution. See our institutional directory to find out more!
  • CONNECT with other people with similar interests, by attending events and contacting program directors and faculty in the directory.
  • SHARE the events and programs in your local area, by writing to Kentucky Asian Studies Network.
